Group Essay Collaberation

Other than tweaking some things, my paragraph is pretty much the same as what you saw on Friday. for our conclusion, the messages that I think are behind his funny portrayal are that you shouldn’t just do things because of what other people will think, but for yourself, and also that you shouldn't just do something for self gain, but think about the impact it will have on other people. Any other ideas? Other than finishing our conclusion, I don't really have any questions. I think that both your paragraphs are really good, and the biggest challenge will be to get it to flow. Also, how are we going to include epigrams and aphorisms? Does anyone have any in their paragraphs?

New years Resolution

This New Years, I hadn't really thought much about what my resolution would be, but I can always think of something that will make my life better. So, for this new year, my goal will be to one, do all of my math homework. I know I should have been doing this already, and its easy enough, so why not? I don't know. I guess I felt a little over loaded, but the thing is, I didn't have that much other work to do, so I have come to the conclusion that I was just being lazy. I think that in doing all my homework, the quality of my life will go up, when I do my homework, I feel kind of proud that i did it. Also, by doing my homework, and then getting a good grade, it will help me reach my other goal of getting a 4.0. And two, to go running more. I've been telling myself that I'll go running more when the weather gets nicer, but that could be never, so I need to just go out and do it. The reason that I should go running more is simple, exercise is good. I find that when I go running, I feel a lot better, about myself, and I'm just in a better mood all around. I feel like I've accomplished something, by getting out and doing something. So for this new year, I will do my math homework every day until the end of school, and I will run at least every week to improve the quality of my life in many ways.

Evaluations

1. Angela-pyramid
I think that the overall picture is good. Just by looking at it, you can't really tell whats going on, so it's good that there is an explanation. The explanation explains well and I liked how she said that the animals intentions were good. There is also a good interpretation of pigs being like men in a way. I liked it a lot!

2. Adora-poem
I really like this poem! It was very well written, and I liked how it seemed to have deeper meaning, than just what the words said. I liked how the poem had relevance to the real world as well as the book. Really well done.

3. Emily- pyramid
I think that this is a very good representation of how the animal farm is similar to the Russian Revolution. It is very easy to understand, just by looking at it. Even though this project didn't really show all the literary elements, I really liked it, and thought it was very well done.

4.Davis- slide-show pictures
I really liked that this project was different that a lot of the other ones that people did. I thought that the comparisons of the characters in Animal Farm to major people and concepts in the Russian Revolution really worked well to show the relationship.

5. Andrea-video/comic strip
I loved the comic strip! It was soo well done, and I really liked how the picture and the words said different things, like they were saying one thing and doing another. I didn't really get the movie though. Really well done!

6. Leanna-picture
I liked how she made her own pig, and how it was easy to understand. I thought that the way she oriented it was very good in showing the relationship. I also thought that it was cool how she made it clear that it was mirrored to the Russian Revolution.

7. Paden-picture
I liked how this picture shows that the pigs them selves might not have been that bad, but the power was just too much. It was very creative, and thoughtful. I also liked how it shows how the pigs got corrupted.

8. Levi-video
I liked how this project showed Animal Farm from the peoples point of view. It shows a clear understanding of the book. It also talks about the relationships between Animal Farm and the neighboring farms.

9. Thomessa- picture
This project was really good! I thought it was good that she showed the change in the commandments, it illustrated the corruption of Animal Farm very well

10. Kayla and Kelsey-comic strip
I think that this project really shows that the pigs were in power from the beginning. I liked how they showed all the aspects of the corruption through one part in the novel.

Me- I think that compared to everyone else's, my project was pretty good. Emma and I put a lot off work in to our movie and I think it was worth it. Some of the other projects were really good, and i could tell they put a lot of work into theirs as well. One thing I think could have been better was that our movie didn't really show clearly the literary elements in the book.
