Formal Diction
The other day, I spent half of a hour on a bus going to Shelton, all the time, intense boredom building up inside me. I had not a thought of what would later happen to me. Finally, when the bus stopped, and the other young ladies and I filled off, the boredom in me left in an instant as I saw the soccer field. We started to warm up, and when the trill of the whistle blew, we rushed on to the field feeling confident as ever, for we had won all our games previous. As the game progressed, a ordinary looking girl on the other team, made a hand ball inside the goalie box. When something like this happens, it results in the commencing of a penalty kick. At a time earlier in the season, we had a trial to see witch one of the many talented ladies on our team would take the penalty kicks. Three people were chosen to rotate when taking them, and I was one of them. On that day, it was my turn to take the penalty kick. I could not hear anything as I stood there waiting in agonizing anticipation for the whistle to blow, I looked right into the eyes of the goalie, and when the whistle finally blew, I ran forward not knowing what the outcome would be. The moment that me foot touched the ball, I knew that it would go in. The amount of joy I felt at that moment, the moment I saw that ball fly into the top left corner, my team cheering, it was simply amazing.

Pride and Prejudice
I chose to read this book because I've been meaning to read it for a while now, and I thought it would be easy to follow because I've seen the movie. So far, I love the book and although it is a bit hard to follow, I'm keeping up. So far, the Bennets have met the Binglys, Mr.Darcy, and have just met Mr. Wickham. Mr. Bingly has started to like Jane very much, forming a connection between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. Also, Elizabeth just met Mr. Wickham and he told her he had to say about Mr. Darcy, she started to wonder what Mr. Drarcy was really like.
There has been a lot of interactions between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth on the subject of pride and vanity. I think that these are both emerging themes in the novel though I can't really tell at this point. Mr. Darcy is a very proud man and I think that a lot of this book will focus on him overcoming his pride.
Though I can't think of anything that I have read that is very similar to this I know that many of the books that Jane Austen wrote were very similar, in setting and also in theme.
I thought that for my creative project I might make a movie, or maybe a poster, I haven't really givin it much thought, though a movie seems like it would be very fun to do.
